Day 6 - Going Home
After our lunch at PGL and a quick shower, we were back on the coach and heading home. As we left the site, all of the staff came outside to wave us off and we sung some traditional PGL camp songs.
We arrived at the airport just in time for the Madrid flight and waved them off. The Malaga flight had a few hours to wait so once we checked our bags in, we headed upstairs to security. Before we went through, I briefed the students on what they could and couldn't take in to save trouble at the security gate HOWEVER, this was not the case.
When we went through security, one student's bag got stopped and they studied it for a while before calling for extra security. They then took his bag to one side and one officer asked Mr Henderson what was in the bag, to which he replied "nothing unusual". After looking on the X-ray machine and them opening the bag, they reviled one student had an empty Pepsi can, as a souvenir, in his bag and an mp3 player next to it! Apparently, this looked very worrying to the airport staff!
After an eventful time at security, everything else went smoothly and we arrived back in Malaga around midnight to a large group of family and friends.
Day 6 - Coastal Walk
This morning, we got up and packed the last few bits before breakfast. Then, we got on the coach with 2 of the PGL instructors and went towards the beach. Today's activity was the 'coastal walk' so we got dropped off next to a public footpath and had 2hrs to walk towards the coast.
On the way to the coast, we were told some stories from the past such as the snakes at live in one of the fields, the law on the bridle and the haunted house. It was a lovely walk and we ended it with a Devonshire ice-cream!
